01 Linkwright
Suspension math you can check.
Free calculators for off-road builders, from first sketch to final tack welds. Put in your mounting points and see anti-squat and roll center through the whole range of travel, with link forces and tube strength at ride height.
- Suspension 3-link Solid axle with a Panhard bar: anti-squat, roll center, link forces and tube strength, with anti-squat and roll center charted through the full range of travel. Open the 3-link calculator
- Suspension 4-link Triangulated 4-link: anti-squat, roll axis, link forces and tube strength, with anti-squat and roll center charted through the full range of travel. Open the 4-link calculator
- Suspension Coilover Wheel travel, motion ratio, wheel rate and ride frequency from shock length and angle. Open the coilover calculator
- Drivetrain Crawl ratio Crawl ratio, speed in every gear, tire-size correction and an axle-shaft check. Open the crawl ratio calculator
More than 700 test cases are run through the Barcroft 3-link and 4-link spreadsheets in Excel, and Linkwright's answers are compared with them value by value. Where a spreadsheet is wrong, Linkwright uses the correct physics, and its reference page explains every difference.

02 Garage Layout
Plan the garage before you pour the slab.
Type a size and get a garage or pole barn, measured to the outside of its walls the way builders measure. Park your vehicles, check their doors can open, set out posts and outlets, and print the plan to scale.
-
Start from a size
Type 30 × 40, pick a garage or a pole barn and how many overhead doors, or start from one of seven ready-made buildings.
-
Park it and check it
Turn on Check clearance for a vehicle to see the room each door, tailgate and liftgate needs, and what's in the way.
-
Posts that miss the doors
Set out a row of posts along a wall in equal bays, and the doorways are kept clear.
-
64 items, drawn to size
Pickups and boats, workbenches and tool chests, each a real top-down drawing. Or add one of your own.
-
Doors, windows, power
Overhead and service doors, windows, stairs, beams and electrical symbols, on layers you can hide, lock and color.
-
Print it to scale
Export a PDF, SVG or PNG on Letter, A4 or larger, at scales like 1/4" = 1'-0", with a title block.
-
Trace over a photo
Put a photo or scan underneath, set its scale from one length you know, and draw over it.
-
Saved as you go
Plans save in your browser while you work. Save a copy as a .fplan file to back one up or open it on another computer.
Made for a computer with a mouse or trackpad. Feet and inches, or metric.
03 Shop rules
Every tool here follows four rules.
They're the reason there's nothing to sign up for, and the reason the numbers come with their working shown.
-
Free to use
No sign-up, no trial and nothing to install. Open a tool and start.
-
Your work stays yours
There are no accounts. What you make is saved on your device, and you can keep a copy as a file.
-
Show the math
Linkwright is tested against the spreadsheets builders already use and explains every difference. Garage Layout measures buildings the way builders do.
-
Honest about limits
These are planning tools. They don't replace an engineer, and nothing here is checked against a building code.
04 Questions
Fair questions.
Each app goes further in its own help: Garage Layout's Help, and Linkwright's About and reference pages.
Are they really free?
Yes. Both apps are free to use, with no account and no trial. Open one and start.
Where is my work saved?
On your device, in your browser. Linkwright remembers your inputs and can export a CSV or a share link. Garage Layout saves each plan as you work and can save a copy as a .fplan file.
Clearing your browser's site data, or moving to another browser or computer, leaves that saved work behind, so keep a copy of anything that matters.
Do they work on a phone?
Linkwright does, and puts your results first on a small screen. Garage Layout is made for a computer with a mouse or trackpad, because drawing a plan needs the room.
Can I trust the numbers?
Linkwright's link calculators reproduce the Barcroft 3-link and 4-link spreadsheets, checked on more than 700 test cases in Excel. Where a spreadsheet is wrong, Linkwright uses the correct physics and its reference page says so. Garage Layout sizes buildings to the outside of the walls, the way builders do, and prints to a true scale.
Both are for planning. Neither replaces an engineer, and nothing here is checked against a building code.
What do you track?
There are no accounts and no cookies. Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics: which page was viewed, the page that linked to it, your country, your kind of device and browser, and how quickly the page loaded. It never sees what you type into the apps.
Can I work in metric?
Garage Layout works in feet and inches or in metric. Linkwright works in inches, pounds and miles per hour, as the spreadsheets it follows do.

Both are free, open in your browser, and keep your work on your device.
